So, I figured out that something I created a while ago was causing the front page to not display correctly for anyone not logged in.

I have fixed this issue now that I have realized that it was an issue.

Another November and another NaNoWriMo has started. Unfortunately, I haven't started writing yet, though I have got at least the first three pages in my head I just need to do it.

I will be putting it up on the site so I can work on it anywhere I go, but it will be unpublished for now. If I feel really good about it I might send it off to be published. Maybe.

So, in my house we have this really old kitsch-y fridge. A GE Americana that came with the house we are living in right now. Made sometime in the 60's, its a french door fridge with the freezer on the bottom, the best thing about it is the utility shelf the separates the fridge from the freezer sections.

This section is where we leave our fresh veggies like potatoes, onions, etc and our bread box. It is the happiness for holding stuff you actually want to remember. There were a few unfortunate things about the fridge...

Right, so I have been watching some movies from my childhood. The main one that really sticks in my mind is Stand By Me, the movie based on the novella 'The Body' by Stephen King.

I think the reason is the movie itself was about a "simpler time". Though there was a great deal of trouble then too, for a tween, life was filled with more 'physical' adventures, the seemingly slower loss of innocence and more of a sense of closeness between friends. Maybe it’s just this movie, but then I don’t think so.

One movie I am excited to see this fall is W. from Oliver Stone. I am interested to see Ollie's view on our president.

So, Spore..

Wow, its so fun. It is fun for me anyways. I have been reading a lot of people Yahtzee dislike the five game in one sort of thing and that it has nothing to do with humans. I.e. won't do as well as The Sims due to this fact.

So, I play WOW (World of Warcraft for those that haven't been on the internet in three years) and last night was the best night ever.

I don't get to play much with work and school and whatever else catches my fancy, but sometimes I just like to do a few quests or hit a battleground or two. Last night was one of those nights where I just wanted to sneak in a few kills in a battleground. It helps that they're doing the Olympic tie-ins and you get a pet (ZOMG!LovesCollectingPets!)

For those that know me, they know that I am not really good at games in a traditional sense, but I find my own way to play. It also doesn't help that I was playing on my lvl 30 Hordie too, gods I am wondering why the rest of the group didn't shoot us (I team with my roommate, also a lvl 30 hordie).

Either way, here's how it went down. After easily winning the first BG, then losing horribly in the second, our third BG was heading south faster than you can say "For the Horde!"

YAY! Creature Creator!

I am so happy to finally have this. Since seeing Will's presentation of Spore at GDC in 2005 (I think!) I have been drooling to get my hands on this game and honestly I think more games that have character or creator creation in them should release the creators as teasers.

Ok with all the busy-ness of working and starting classes for my Masters, I finally got to play a little of GTA IV.

I haven't gotten too far into the missions yet, I am waiting to see how intense the classwork is going to be before I get too involved at the moment. I did spend some quality time getting to know Niko, at least how you get him around town and what he starts up against in his rise to the top.
